Of course. Iāve not had a standard drive in years. I have an Optane dedicated for Starfield, same one I used for CP2k77, RDR2, LOU, etc.
Iām very hyped for Starfield now. I didnāt see this game coming at all unto I witnessed its introduction last weekend. Anyone else pre-ordering??
Absolutely, done the second it was available. I didnāt do collectors, no need for the watch, but just enough for the 5 day head start. Taking my sabbatical on top of it, so will get a month to enjoy, free of work.

I also pre-ordered. I am very much looking forward to it since Bethesda mentioned that part of their inspiration came from pencil and paper rpgās like Traveller.

For me, Iām going to live out my Firefly, Expanse fantasies while they load it up with DLC and mods for bounty hunting, piracy, etc. Iām going to jack every ship I see, just like I steal every suit of power armor I see in FO4. There is theory crafting that, because NPCs have piloting skills and we see ships taking off and landing from our outposts, that we can crew multiple ships, have our NPCs shutting crap around, etc. Yes, my expectations are off the rails for this game, why do you ask?

And each skill has 4 ranks, which are advanced to by using the skill and accomplishing āachievementsā of sorts, like ākill 20 people with a pistolā, āpick 20 locksā, etc. Each subsequent achievement or challenge is harder for the next rank.
I just noticed my post got kicked out of Star Citizen. I guess that makes sense, Starfield needs to be in a forum with games that will launch

We can have NPCs man our outposts and apparently set up trade routes between them. Harvest/mine things at outpost A, ship it to outpost B for research. Super cool!
Yes, though there is speculation that you will likely need to defend your outposts from unfriendlies like in FO4.

Yup, and set up defenses and such, just like FO4. Iām very excited about it. Configuring ships, finding NPCs, configuring the best routes and crafting, etc. Super excited for it

Not really game related news, but related to Starfield. 10 years ago Gamespot posted an article on April 1st referring to Zenimax trademarking the name Starfield. The article tried to get people to think it was a mobile game or something. I posted a comment on that article, something silly like āPlease be Skyrim in space please be Skyrim in space please be Skyrim in spaceā
Fast forward to yesterday and Iām surprised to find someone necroād my comment 10 years later to make a Reddit thread about it. They werenāt negative about it, just pointing out that amidst a bunch of comments about it probably being a mobile game or something I was there hoping it would turn out to be something akin to Skyrim in space which is what we are getting in a sense.
I just found it odd and interesting that comment from 10 years ago came to light as relevant today. I think maybe I just had my tiny 15 seconds of internet fame or something lol

Interesting. Iām finding it amusing that Sony is going after BGS because Starfield wonāt be on Playstation. I canāt list the number of games I would absolutely love to play but are only on Playstation, so they can go pound sand for all I care.

Yes Sony is/are being some really salty buttheads about it.
First time in a seriously long time I pre-ordered a game with no qualms. I trust it will either be fine at release or better and polished within six months of release, so no worries. Definitely going to scratch a itch thoā¦ Also been awhile since I truly anticipated a release.

Loving Starfield! Once I figured out how storage worked it became easy. I can see where modding is going to make this a long term game. Bouncing between the Starfield science fiction and Conan Exiles OTG affiliated Muspelheim Server for a low tech fix and earn all the free addons.
