Once Human

Go ahead and apply to the Old Timers Guild warband. Just let us know on the #once-human discord channel when you do.

Welcome!

If I can get the game to play nice I will take up the offer. Ah PC Gaming… if something is not breaking your doing it wrong. =P

Well just about to hit 50. I wish I saw more OTG folks on. Would be fun to figure out the Monolith bosses and such with a group. So far have done them solo. I’m over leveled under geared right now. Trying to get organized for the end of the season.

There are several on whenever I play. It’s just hard to find them because the game doesn’t make it easy to see anyone.

Yes, I have a few friends I got to join, but unless they fix something in August, I will have to start over on their server. The one we are on always comes up full when they try to join…sucks. Ding…50

Wanted to do some Hard and then Pro. Need to get my damage up and fine tune.

Not in-game right now but are you in the Warband?

I feel your pain. I got a late start and was hoping to catch up, but I don’t see anyone (in our group or otherwise) so I’m slowly losing interest in the game. I like the genre, but I’m not about going it alone. I’ve been doing the single-player in many of the games the Community plays and I was hoping to change that here. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t make it easy. Oh well. I think I’m going to go back to The First Descendant until the WoW expansion hits.

I’ve hit a wall (slowed down). Cant do bosses on hard mode by myself (going to read up tonight, maybe can make a plan, but its a slow grind usually alone), so cant get better gear and points to go on. Teams I see on the Chat want teammates that have done the boss multiple times and are already geared up for max damage. I might be able to time a easy prime war with a group to get the points to go on to hard but my gear is too low. I can keep farming, but its much slower.

Yes, in a OTG Warband.

I Have Twister Deviant to summon players and the Doorway Deviant to create teleport doors, have maxxed out workbenches and have power and plumbing going, mining tungsten with platform and stardust from water which can covert to acid as needed. So pretty comfortable resources wise. Found a good spot with a ton of aluminum and tungsten outside door.

Started a Hive (Delta Green) to get friends in but they cant get on the server. Word to the wise, join up first day with the people you want to play with so you get on the right server. (Also new servers start at beginning of cycle so not joining mid season). Now Ive got soooo much stuff collected its painful to think of starting all over.

You did all of this on your own? That’s impressive. I guess it’s how you perceive the game. I need motivation and direction. Right now I’m running amuck trying to figure out what I need to do to get myself to go forward.

The chat, social aspect, and finding friends and such is horrible in their UI. No login notices, no locked in channel selection, no proper chat channel settings. It all adds up to never really knowing who’s on or where.

As for people not getting in, I’ve heard several say they managed to get in ever after the server got ā€˜locked’, so I don’t know what’s going on there.

The fact everyone’s spread out over 10 worlds also doesn’t help :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you in the Discord channel? Constant talk about the game and there are active people if you are looking for others…

I’ll try that, RanterX. Was posting on the group chat in-game. But usually only see that 3 folks are on out of the 20+ odd members.

Splutty: yup, all the social aspects suck badly. It was a effort to figure out and explain to new players the first few days in game.

Discord is MUCH more active.

Have you all built your homes on the same world?

No. I’m on world 9. I know at least one other is on world 6 (RanterX?) and I think someone else is on 9 as well. It doesn’t matter unless you’re doing something specific. I teleport to someone’s house then teleport to a tower and switch worlds there if I need to.

We’re all on the same server:

Server: Manibus
Instance: PVE01-00005
Warband: Old Timers Guild

Not sure how exactly worlds work but I was able to visit Chevette’s house.

You’re able to switch worlds at a teleporter any time.

Yes, I’m on the same server. I’m in the Warband. I’ve switched worlds several times just to see what it does. I believe I had to do it in the tutorial shrugs. I’m on World 2. I was (in a roundabout way) surveying to see where the biggest populous of OTG was and I was going to move there. I don’t have much invested in my house, and I don’t care if I had to start over, but if I can move between Worlds, that would be cool. I’m so far behind everyone in levels I don’t even see dust trails of people who just left. It’s like a ghost town in the lower leveled areas. I want to be around folks (this is me needy-clingy). Sometimes it’s hard for me to get into groups due to my play hours. I’m an early riser and work an early shift. I found that most of the cool cats in our community play late at night, and that leaves me out. =/ Soooooo, I’m just trying to find a group to hang with mostly. My apologies for the wall. My intentions were to explain this in a few words, and I ended up writing a book.

I am loving this game so far! It is incredible that there is so much to do on a free-to-play game.

I am on Manibus, but on World 8 with a couple of friends.
