Sorry folks, cancelling todayās game. I posted the big explanation post in the Starfinder FFoD thread. I thought I was posting here.
At this point Iāve done a ton of prep with images, tokens, and maps that arenāt in the base module. Iāve also rewritten a ton of story - probably waaay more than was necessary. So instead of us playing a horror themed adventure think of it as more like an action thriller a la Bond, Bourne, or even CA: Winter Soldier; 'cept with a party instead of a single hero.
Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again; I donāt think buying pre-made modules for Fantasy Grounds is worth the money.
Great now I can do the mountains of laundry I have been putting off. Thanks Randoās internet! 
So yesterday my intarwebs was as unstable as umā¦ instability. I lost connection six times, one time for more than an hour. Of course because today I cancelled the game, with the exception of the time during the visit of the tech, it was working perfectly.
In other news, I knew beforehand about the problems that 3090s were having with New World and specifically EVGA 3090s, which of course I have. So I took precautions and set FPS caps and such, still the thing locked up hard a few times but I got to the power button and hard reset before and apparent lasting damage was done. I switched over to my 1080ti that was sitting in the box the 3090 came in, and that played the game just fine. So they patched the game on Thursday (?) to āfixā the problem and I thought I would try again. Nope. But the card was fine after the second hard lockup and blackscreen.
The New World servers were down today for patching so I took the 1080ti out and put the 3090 back in and played an hour of Cyberpunk. Then I read Amazonās updated steps on how to fix the problem. So I thought, why not, third times a charm right? Nope, blackscreen and system reboot just before the Amazon Game Studios raindbow swirl logo. Faced two black screens on reboot. Took the 3900 out again and put the 1080ti back in and this time the motherboard said that it had failed to POST last bootup and I had to redo/reset the BIOS. Windows similarly said something catastrophic had happened and wanted to boot in safe mode.
The 3090 is officially toast. I have to start the RMA process, but first I have to see if I can somehow get a new invoice/receipt from the vendor I bought it from. Mine has faded in sections since november and at some point I used it as a coasterā¦
I mentioned this a couple of weeks back, but as a reminder, next Saturday I will be on a plane during game time. I should be back for the 8/7 game.
Also, your computer sounds possessed.
I am going to be at least an hour and a half, probably two hours late tonight - have to drop my son off at a thing for school.
sorry to miss session tonight things took longer than expected, and im just getting home now, an hour+ after end time.

Holy crap, I have stumbled upon the Starfinder secret to success! While you guys have to walk through sewers and get beat up, I sit here and make level 20 in no time. I just have to keep from picking up the soap.
The other thing (that I am sure you wonāt have to worry about) is if someone wants to still poison one or all of us. We get to move around but your sitting there on your cot waiting for your next square mealā¦ Will it have any extra spices added to it? Hmmm something to ponder as you wait to level to 20.

It occurs to me, there seems to be far less sewers we have had to navigate in Starfinder as opposed to D&D or Pathfinder.

Also, Iām really thinking about contacting a dragonās rights advocate group because I have to wonder where yāall are getting all of this dragon lard from.
Well Itās Vat grown. Draven had a theory that the best lard to use is one from the person own body. So there is no chance of rejection. So while you where down and out after the Lt Sheru fight, he took a bit and started to work on his doctoral thesis by using cloning vats. His main problem is keeping the vats straight, the one for Dragon lard, and the one for Dragon kibbleā¦

Ohhhhh Iām calling BS on that, I wasnāt down and out, I was down briefly. Zabraxas is too tough for that. There was no way anyone had anytime to collect āsamplesā from me. 
And where the hell are you guys keeping these vats?
Also, you damn well better not mix up those vats
