[Finished] SF - Three AP Starfinder Campaign (Saturdays, 8-11 EDT)

three more whacks like that and you can go around saying “It’s just a flesh wound.”

I’m not complaining, just stating why I wasn’t likely to ever loose a hand in such a spectacular way/

Your off-tank the goblin. I tanked that alien for a good 5 rounds at the prison break.

That might qualify you for off-tank, but I don’t even remember that part so ehhh.
:dragon: :smirk:

Alright guys, the GM is trying to get Zabraxas to turn evil. We were looking at augments that could replace my hand and he starts mentioning a Velstrac Shackle, which I have to admit sounds pretty damn cool.

https://www.aonsrd.com/Magitech.aspx?ItemName=Acolyte&Family=Velstrac%20Shackle

So I start reading about the Velstrac themselves and I got this far “Velstracs are lawful evil outsiders native to the Shadow Plane who feed on fear and pain.” That is the first line in the description of the Velstrac.

So now I am not entirely convinced the GM isn’t trying to make me turn evil.

Also, I don’t feel like I could just go buy one of those…

:dragon: :smirk:

You do realize Duck Tape is the FORCE it’s light on one side /dark on the other and holds everything together.

you mean he isnt already?

Sharp pointy teeth, and claws, i thought you were evil.

I know I was moping a bunch about missing out on getting better armor for a spell, I as trying to be as humorous as I could about it so as not to annoy y’all. As the resident melee/tank of the group, getting that ole KAC/EAC up is vital to me despite the apparent class mechanics of Vanguard.

So I would like to take a bit to explain how I think the Vanguard works and why I don’t want to take a ton of damage all the time. At first glance the class seems like it is meant to take a ton of damage to do more damage, but this works in a limited sense. I can boost my Entropic Strike with Entropy Points and I can do some damage mitigation for me and the group with Entropy points mostly. I can gain Entropy Points by taking 2x my level or more in damage and I can gain an Entropy Point for getting hit with a crit. Those are the main ways I get Entropy Points by taking damage. I can only have a max of 4 Entropy Points at any time, that never increases. There are other ways I can gain Entropy Points, but it doesn’t deal with taking damage. So I want to increase my EAC/KAC because as weird as it might sound, I would prefer to take an occasional crit than I would a bunch of plinking hits that don’t give me any Entropy Points, because that damage still adds up and I get nothing for it. Sure, I want the enemies to be attacking me and not you guys, but I want them to be missing more than they hit me.

At lvl 7 I will either pick up the feat Close Combat, which gives me +2 to ranged attacks when I am melee attacking or maybe Die Hard which let’s me stabilize and stay in the fight with 1 hp when dying in the same round.

Don’t you have sharp pointy teeth and claws as well?

Yes, what’s your point?

Something about evil knows evil, but Zabraxas wouldn’t know because he isn’t evil.

In fact, Zabraxas is such a nice Dragonkin he might pick up one level of Soldier some point soon to get the Squad fighting style which would provide this at level 1 Soldier:

Coordinated Aim (1st level, Ex): You can help squad mates hit targets even if you’re in the way. You gain Coordinated Shot as a bonus feat. Your allies gain the bonus even if you are providing cover to the target. If you already have that feat, you gain a bonus combat feat instead.

Then again I did lose my hand protecting you guys so I might just be selfish and stick with Vanguard. When I hit lvl 10 I add my Str bonus to my Entropic Strike damage and then I’ll be doing 3d6+20ish damage with it.

Was reviewing the Relic of a Stampede, making considerations for if is hitting level 7 with us (adding a computer back in for those bonuses). And it is possible that the Crit from the rail gun would have destroyed the other ship entirely.

The Railgun has Rail 3d8. For every 5 points you beat the AC by it does an additional 3D8 damage. That being said you also dont get the bonus to hit from the science officer. But that crit, i think, would have had at least an additional 3d8 damage to it. Something to keep in mind for next time we are in space combat.

My one worthwhile thing I did last night.

considering the only thing Vash managed to do was go faster than the other guy, who rolled low all night, it was enough.

One thing Vash has taught me, be happy for the little things, cause rolling a skill check, and then an attack to get the most out of the character, if it weren’t for the little things it would drive me to be drunk every game night

Yeah, but that was also saving our asses with you beating them on initiative everytime. At least the enemy was getting the low rolls because over the course of the night we were rolling single digit rolls at what felt like 75% rate at least.

@Rando I dont recall all the various modules you have for SF. Any Chance you have SF14: Soldiers of Brass? Vash would really like some Lightvision Shades. Otherwise, since we are going back to Absalom, he might just drop by his old stomping ground and have an old buddy weld a welding mask to his face.

Something I probably should have handled last night, but we sorta ran out of time…

The rune drive is now “inert” and fused to the New! Relic of a Stampede.

When you arrive at Absalom Station, Cedona suggested you get in contact with the Stewards (again). While the Stewards (and the government’s of Absalom Station and the rest of the Pact Worlds) are grateful, they obviously can’t come right out and reward y’all with medals and a parade and such, 'cause you as Pact Worlds citizens were involved in this illegal extraterritorial operation inside the Azlanti Star Empire.

So they impound the New! Relic of a Stampede and in turn offer you a brand new Tier 7 ship that looks nothing like a ship that just blasted it’s way out of Azlanti space and that has no Azlanti parts in it’s makeup. Y’all will also be granted a “huge” credit reward of 5,000 CR each! And lastly, to further reward you but also to:

  1. keep y’all away from the seats of power and to grant them deniability of you and your past operations
  2. to hide you away from prying eyes; Azlanti agents may be on the look out for Pact Worlds citizens that match your physical descriptions

they have scored some passes to a brand new luxury resort in the Diaspora that is about to open - New Elysium - that they grant to you. Yay!

And lastly, all the gear still on the party sheet has a total value of 131, 295 CR. Assuming you sell it all at 50% value and then split six ways (Syzgy still gets her cut), y’all could each get another 10941 CR! Double-yay!

Syzygy didn’t accompany y’all back to Absalom. She stayed with Erio on Outpost Zed and the two of them are planning further anti-Azlanti and pro-Android operations within the Star Empire. You’ll wire her her share of the credits.

I do not.

Individual things like items, feats, spells, and such, are pretty easy to add manually by hand into the game. It’s just the complicated things that have heavy automation like races, classes, and backgrounds that are problematic without a in-game source.

So, uh… yes you can buy those.

Oh, and everyone has dinged level 7.

Oh, and…

If the total of [value of Current Gear] + 5,000 CR reward + [share of the cut from selling items on party sheet] is less than 23,000 CR you get the difference to bring you up to 23,000 CR.

Oh and…

If anyone, besides @Schplam, is interested in a new character, you start at level 7 with 23,000 CR to go shopping. As part of your backstory, you are a level 7 “adventurer” who has done something worthy enough that got you an invite to the limited pre-opening of the New Elysium resort. Or maybe you work there.

Oh and…

As level 7 characters, you can buy up to level 9 gear.

Oooof and OOOOOF…it’s the PRE-opening of the resort and things are gonna go to shit. Not a good time to be in the resort business.
