@Mithinar@Findywen@Mazzus@Stompey@Rando@Schplam So I am pondering changing to a different character for the next AP. I feel like perhaps Zabraxas’ large character size is more of an obstacle for the rest of the group than it is an advantage for me. I chose the race in particular for the flying and the reach from size. Maybe I am reading the room wrong, but I get the sense that the group isn’t really keen on the large size. If the group would prefer I switch to a regular sized character I am ok with doing this. I don’t know if would keep the Vanguard class or switch to soldier.
So if you guys want me to switch and Rando is ok with it, I will do that. @Schplam I included you in this as you are joining the group so I feel you should have a say. My character is a Dragonkin, which is large sized, so yeah I take up twice the space. Being a melee class, I often end up giving the enemies cover vs all the group’s ranged attacks. I think it is becoming a hinderance maybe.
If your happy playing the dragonkin, then keep doing it. I personally don’t have an opinion on your blocking line of site or not. As either way I take the shot. And up to this point we have always completed all the fights fine. It might take a couple extra turns, but it is what it is. I just carry plenty of spare batteries. cackle
But if you want to switch to a different character do to other reasons on top of the providing cover, then go for it. It’s about us having fun with the group and our characters, and if your not then change it.
Well thanks for the reassuring replies. I do like my Dragonkin Vanguard, although even I have to admit getting positioned is tricky sometimes… ok a lot of the time
He does that already, the problem can be that the opponents can reach him in the air where he is hovering. so he still gives them cover. And he is melee based vanguard and not range so has to be up front and personal with his targets even with a 10 foot reach…
Ok, I put my character together and I feel I understand the mechanics well enough to get going. I will jump on Saturday to say hello and can talk about it.

I can just see it now, the giant Dragonkin holding his severed, bleeding stump wandering around amidst the firefight asking anyone if they have tape straight out of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Except in this case, scotch tape WON’T work (not that any of y’all would even have any tape, let alone ducT tape)
There are likely feats to mitigate the attack.
