[Finished] SF - Three AP Starfinder Campaign (Saturdays, 8-11 EDT)

What would happen if Rod Sparky were to walk around disabling video cameras? Would that increase or decrease the alert level? Or nothing?

Also, and perhaps this was some of my overthinking, but per the infiltration notes I recall a bit about avoiding incapacitating any of them to begin with because if any of them fail to report in it can raise the alert level. And as we had just recently docked I was assuming that the dock guy was gonna have to report in sooner or later. Maybe just overthinking on my part I dunno.

Also if we had really been smart, we would have kept the cargo containers after she took the contents to be able to off load it when we got here.

Oh I was gonna grapple him IMMEDIATELY, like as soon as he was on the ship just GRAB him with all my 8’ of height and big ass Dragonkin size and 17 STR.

Problem there though, I seem to remember that the cart or whatever that the dock guy brought us had empty containers on it and I am wondering if he expected us to unload the goods from our containers to his in front of him. That would not have worked. If we were just switching the containers themselves that would work up until he went to check them personally. One way or the other the dock guy probably needs to be incapacitated before we move in. He was the one that tipped off the other Azlanti to us to begin with. If we don’t manage that part initially it all goes downhill from there.

And we need someone to take on the identity of LT. SHARU who is a better face/voice for the group than the Dragonkin Vanguard who is more like the fist/smashy smash of the group.

I actually didn’t even know one of the costumes was a lieutenants. Anyone mind if Siggy tries that role?

If we want to get past the dock guy without tipping him off to begin with we need:

A) Someone better at doing the Bluff checks and being the voice/face of the group. I can always try an Intimidate as a backup if the Bluffing fails.

and

B) keep the empty containers and fill them with fake shit that could pass off a brief inspection and get up past the dock guy

or

C) Incapacitate his ass

Also, we could check the computers on the Azlanti ship and maybe find info on Azlanti personnel to impersonate that are more connected to the prison.

Um… maybe it’s not clear. ~confused GM noises~

There’s a link to a document for y’all to read in my last post.

Let’s try this…

There will be a quiz. Those who pass get wealth-by-level next time we go shopping. Those who don’t get coal.

deal getting worse

I’m not supposed to be the face/plan maker here I am supposed to be the smashy smashy whack whack when we finally do have to fight our way out. Preferably near the end.

I was wearing the armor of Lt. Sharu as well as wielding her sword so I said I was using my holoskin thingee to take on her appearance. Which was my first mistake. But it was mentioned more than once.

Stop playing with your mote and pay attention :smirk:

Okay I see… so Lt Saru was the female boss from the first module. I think that’s why I was confused because I wasn’t expecting her to reappear.

To be fair, @Rando did single you out for talks with the harbor master so I assumed at that point you were supposed to be the face. I was trying to help out with my bluff skill but instead the GM docked us points for providing confusing information. Plus I thought other people would like a chance to RP too.

I have to say I’m getting kind of stressed between this game and Thursday night’s. I try to come to the game to enjoy some combat and do some in character RP and let other people try to enjoy playing their characters too. I don’t know how to manage an infiltration.

Hey, this is my first prison break too hehe. Rando didn’t single me out, I singled me out. I am aware I made myself the face due to taking on the appearance of Lt. SHARU. I wasn’t even thinking that someone else could assume her appearance (or the appearance of some ranked individual). That was the first mistake right from the get-go, I should have had someone else assume a ranked appearance and take the lead as Zabraxas is not the face/talker type. And that first mistake is on me.

I would like to point out something, that @Rando is wrong, the warden is not Darth Vader…Sardat Ulivestra is clearly Darth Vader.

And the Star Wars movies make prison breaks look much, much easier. :smirk:

Okay, how about this for our ā€œscriptā€:

Q: Why are you here?
A: We’re performing a surprise safety inspection of the prison. We need access to staff and prisoner facilities to ensure the safety of Azlanti personnel.

Q: But we’ve never had safety inspectors?
A: There was a toxic gas leak at one of the other prison sites. The IG’s office has mandated surprise safety inspections at all the prisons because they’re all built to spec. The leak started in the prison blocks but somehow spread to staff quarters too and that is why we need access to both.

Q: Where’s your manifest and supplies?
A: We don’t have one, we’re the safety inspectors!

Q: I’m going to notify the warden about this.
A: You can do that, but the high command desires this to be a surprise. You’re interferance with our mission could be misconstrued as noncompliance and you could be singled out for discipline.

Q: What are all these crates you’re rolling out here?
A: These are highly delicate toxic gas and radiation sensors.

Q: Well, I need to look inside those.
A: That would be ill advised. These sensors are precisely calibarated for our work and you could render them inoperable. Again, noncompliance with our mission will be reported.

Now, I think we just need to figure out how to get the right forged documents and appearance modifications.

Also, we need to obtain some dummies so we can make it look like the real prisoners are sleeping in their cots while we smuggle them out again in the ā€œsensor packagesā€.

We might also need a way of knocking out their cell mates so they don’t raise the alarm with the guards.

Things not to do:

  • Don’t ask where the prisoners are. If we can’t figure it out, either Rod or Sparks can hack a computer console to find that out.

  • Don’t mention anything about the Sardat. That might arouse suspicion.

Q: How can we distract the guards while extracting the prisoners?
A: Syggy and Draevyn will perform health ā€œscansā€ of the guards to make sure they haven’t been poisoned while Vash picks the locks to the doors.

PS - Sorry to @Rando and @Ryuken for my saltiness and grumpiness. I hope the above is a reasonable first stab at an infiltration plan but others feel free to change or discard as the group feels appropriate. I am not good at organizing this stuff at the table unfortunately and unfortunately I just get confused a lot when talking through stuff over discord with a group.

Well that is certainly a better approach to planning than we originally did hehe.

I would like to point out that Vash doesnt speak the language, making him an innocent bystander :smiling_imp:

though, yeah, as a group we went in completely unprepared and went in with a seat of our pants approach.

I am pretty sure things already went sideways at this point. So rather than trying to be all smart about how to get in un noticed, its time that we get smart about GTFO.

Step 1 Dispose of the immediate threat.
Step 2 Lock out reinforcements.
Step 3 Rescue prisoners, and arm them.
Step 10 get off this rock.

I may have skipped a couple steps, You can’t expect a goblin to think of everything. Bonus steps include causing pandemonium in the other cell blocks ( maybe all the cells can be hacked from here? ). Additionally we parked the stampede at Alpha-six or something like that. Hopefully there are additional landing bays, maybe one closer by. We dont necessarily have to fly out on the ship we came in, I mean that is how Vash got the Stampede in the first place.

Step 6 - Hack in and cause all the reactors to go on Meltdown alert. Lock down all Tram cars but the one We jury rig. Get Our selves and our people out.
Step 7 - Send message to ship in guarding position about emergency.
Step 8 - Get them to dock.

Step 11 - Launch and detonate the Reactors as soon as we are away. Wipe hands of sweat because no pursuit is going to happen.

Copied the handout link to the end of the OP 'cause only TWO people have downloaded it so far. I sense a lot of failures on the upcoming quiz.
