[Finished] PF2 - Hell's Rebels adventure path (Thurs 8-11 EDT)

@Rando, will we be using the Advanced Magic Guide for this adventure when it comes out?

@Ocelot You wouldn’t be messing with the party feng shui that much, Mithinar is doing Fighter with his cleric tor tankiness it seems and I have 5 different builds made up and ready to go for Thursday and depending on what I play (still Kobold Sorcerer/Familiar Master at this point).

If PC’s die or someone doesn’t like their character, I feel like we have a better setup to introduce new/replacement characters with the whole rebellion thing. New/replacement characters could be new members of the rebellion or some such.

So @Ocelot if you end up not liking your melee character you could always just suicide them FOR THE REBELLION! hehe

And now back to hassling the GM about familiars.

Ahem @Rando can I have a shimmerwing dragonfly as a familiar?

LOL!

I promise, cross my Kobold heart and swear to die, that I will not switch to Magus unless my Kobold Sorcerer/Familiar Master dies. Then I will definitely switch to Magus…Kobold Magus of course.

On that note, who’s ready to watch my character name get longer and harder to pronounce as I level up? YAY! :smirk:

And which direction should I go for Kobold voice, Sean Connery or Benedict Cumberbatch? :smirk:

Yep. GingeeBlue for stealth and she is trained in short bow.

Secrets of Magic is scheduled for release one year from now, at the next GenCon.

In other words 52 encounters from now.

Well then I can’t rightly change to Magus in a month even if I wanted to…great, thaaaaaaaaat’s just great hastily changes plans

Well, there will probably be a play test in the meantime. More shinies to hassle the GM about!

So I went ahead and changed my stats around a bit.
Str 10, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 10, Cha 14

Alternatively
Str 12, ,Dex 16, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 10, CHA 14

Finally
Str 12, Dex 16, Con 12, INT 12, Wis 10, CHA 16

I like the first set. Best long term and short term.

Third set makes the combat at the beginning a tiny bit harder, but the non-combat social stuff a tiny bit easier.

I’m thinking of not pursuing this Hellknight Order of the Torrent business. It sounds really cool but the only feat really want is Armiger’s Mobility and I think I could probably get by without it.

Generic fighter class has a ton of really amazing feats. They’re just… generic.

Still leaning towards carrying a big pole arm, shoving bad guys around and triggering attacks of opportunity.

Alternatively, if Mith or somebody else makes a frontliner I might opt for ranged feats and then when I get my (temporary) wings at 9th level I can fly around shooting at things like an Erinyes.

Still not sure what to put down for stats but 18 for sure in my primary stat.

here you go:

Heads up - I will not be available SEP 10, 17

I suppose I should say this now, and repeatedly over the course of this adventure:

Starting at lvl 9, if you head me say “I inhale deeply” before the start of my next turn…don’t be anywhere near me

I believe our response will be, Kobold takes the point.

Cool, but expect me to go invisible as often as not starting at lvl 3.

I will be taking some attack spells like Magic Missile, Flaming Sphere and Fireball in the earlier levels, but also taking some debuff/control spells like Glitterdust, Fear , Slow as well as some party utility stuff like Invisibility Sphere and Rope Trick.

When I was playing Anna, I found it really hard to pull off cone attacks. People used to get on to me about wedging myself into the first rank, but I found that was really the only way I ever got a chance to cast burning hands. After the fur starts flying, it’s nigh impossible to get a clean shot.

The good news @Ryuken, is that I will be carrying a pole arm so if you want to stand next to me on the front rank (and you can convince Mith as well) then you’ll have some protection against rushing mobs (and hopefully no friendlies down range) on the first round.

After the red mist falls over Pandora’s eyes however, all bets are off.

Let me defuse some of the tension regarding my breath weapon. I won’t even have it until lvl 5 as I’m taking Kobold Lore as my lvl 1 ancestry feat instead of the Kobold Breath. Both are available at lvl one but I want to start with Kobold Lore because it gives me training in Stealth as well as the Kobold Lore skill (oh boy bet that is gonna come in handy in this adventure :smirk:) The breath weapon will only be d4’s damage to start with and doesn’t become d8’s until lvl 9. I don’t plan on using the Kobold breath all the time or even that much. It’s more or a contingency thing or something to pull off IF I HAVE GOOD TACTICAL POSITIONING TO USE IT.

I am not a stupid Kobold, nor am I evil or particularly wicked or anything. I do have a big personality in a little body, a chip on my shoulder about being small and often belittled or overlooked and I don;t take no shit from the big folk. I let my actions show the big folk what I am capable of and if they give me shit I will give it right back. But I am not spontaneously violent or anything, I know my place in the world and that I have to be smart about gaining acceptance into the big folk societies. I will not be running around using the breath weapon willy nilly all the time and getting y’all hurt. Now, if the big nasty comes after me, yeah I probably gonna use that breath weapon, kinda like how a horned toad will squirt blood from its eyes to dissuade a predator…only worse…much worse :smirk: I’m also going to use the breath weapon in combination with flying later so I will be flying over enemy formations and breathing down on them, in an effort to avoid getting friendlies caught in the area of effect.

Really you should be more worried about this: “A young kobold’s given name is rarely more than a syllable or two. However, as they age, achieve status, and accomplish great deeds, kobolds add more syllables
to their names, imitating a common draconic practice.”
My name will get longer and harder to pronounce as I level up :smirk:

I do get a little wicked thrill out of hearing butt’s pucker when I say something like “beware if you hear me inhale” :smiling_imp:
