I like, kinda reminds me of king Shark, only cuter and smaller
Hey Chaco, this looks a fun character to play. For a scoundrel racket rogue I would suggest adding another boost to charisma and leaning into the charisma based skills, especially if you’re considering picking up Shadowdancer which relies on charisma and performance. This will also open up a sorcerer dedication as a possibility. Maybe pull the extra boost from strength or int.
Yeah, you are going to be using DEX-based weapons anyway, STR isn’t really that big a deal to rogues. I would switch the STR and CHA. CHA is arguably the most/more important stat for a scoundrel. And what @ocelot said about Shadowdancer is true; their focus casting is CHA-based and the DCs of your spells will increase with CHA.
@Rando also some props to you the only reason I am playing a straight up caster is because of the implements rules you added in. If it wasn’t for the implement rules giving some ooomph to spellcasters you would have to deal with me playing Ranger/eldritch Archer/Cavalier.
I’m thinking of changing back to sorcerer myself.
OOOF, you’re killing me. Remember me asking you repeatedly if you were sure you wanted to do the melee frontliner character because I was fine with doing it if you didn’t?
~gets out the popcorn, and plops down in the easy-chair~
Hmm… I honestly don’t remember that. I remember you offering to the group (not to me specificaly) to make a melee character but I don’t recall you asking me that directly. Not saying you didn’t - only that I don’t remember it. It’s sometimes hard to tell though over voice so maybe I misheard. Sorcerer is just one of my two long time favorite classes so I get nostalgic for it.
If its an issue, then I will stick with a melee character. I don’t mind at all.
And people wondered why I didn’t want to commit to anything last session. OK folks. Play what you want to play. I will do a Fighter who dips into cleric who practices medicine. Since most combat healing occurs out of combat we should be ok. I just won’t have the healing font part of cleric, But I will have healing spells slotted in all my spell slots for emergencies. There you see how easy that was!!!

I think what I may do is make my fighter a little more stealth oriented. Rando has said we could theoretically stealth the entire campaign. I don’t know if that is true but it would be interesting achievement.
Okay, I’ve purged all impure thoughts from myself. I am definitely sticking with fighter.
Would it help if we listed out the key roles and each sign up for one (and then stick to it )
Melee/Tank -
Stealth -
Healer -
Ranged -
Buff/DeBuff -
I don’t think it would hurt to have a couple of doubles but should have someone in each. if there are doubles, then perhaps we have some flexibility in the builds A healer cleric and a war priest perhaps, or if we only have one, then they should probably focus on a strong single-class build… Thoughts?
There I’m Good…

First off if I came across as upset or something, I am not, I was just razzing ya.
Also, I don’t care what I play. I pretty play something to fill a spot the group needs.
I did approach the group first last Thursday about playing a melee/tanky character when we started discussing the lack of a melee/tanky character at the time. At the time you had last indicated about playing the tiefling sorcerer. Then you started talking about playing a melee when I was talking about playing a melee and then I asked you a couple times if you were sure.
So you have purged the impure thoughts and are sticking with fighter…I have to ask, are you sure?
I could do Sorc caster or Ranged/Eldritch Archer, just point me in the direction…
I would guess Chaco for stealth, Airen for Buff/Debuff with the Bard. As far as ranged, are we talking ranged dps with weapons or ranged caster dps or just in general? I could do some ranged dps with my Sorc build, but my Eldritch Archer build would be even more ranged dps.
What is this buff / debuff you speak of? I see nothing about wax on / wax off in my job description. It’s just play a few toons for free beer and flatter the rich nobles in hopes of them becoming a patron.
Oh no, it’s all good. I’m probably always going to experience a certain amount of “the grass is greener on the other side” which I know is driving everyone else up the wall. I am jealous of the implements though. I can’t help it The implements just sound awesome.
However I realize I am screwing with the party feng shui so I am sure I will stick with the fighter - at least through the first 2 adventures. I will commit at least through the first two adventures. After that, I suspect the ancestry guide will be out in by then and then after we finish the 3rd adventure we will probably have the advanced magic guide by then which will for sure 100% mess me up.
And of course @Ryuken will be switching to Magus next month.
