I used to get invited to alphas and betas on a regular basis, but after I participated in the alpha and beta for Age of Conan, I rarely get invited. Thanks Funcom.
Thanks for the feedback Mezilar. While that didn’t get me off the fence, your “I love it and recommend it if you really like survival and building.”, has loosened my grip a bit. I do like survival (though not so much survive from other people) and building. Also I like exploration, which you and some video reviews make sound like there is a large area to do so it. Not so sure though with this game though, as that large area is mostly desert.
Do you use Discord and happen to stream your play sometimes? I’d be down for watching and texting or chatting (though my mic never works in Discord for some reason).
I hate the desert. In Conan Exiles, I prefer other parts of the map and try to get to the Tundra as fast as possible. In ESO, I rarely quested in desert zones. I just find it sandy and just blah (I even am not a fan of the beach as its desert-esque). But for me, Dune is the desert - its part of the story, it is the game. I am worried I may get tired of dune after dune (pun intended) but because its so important and IS the story (and without it, the story would be very different), I think I will be ok with it.

Thanks, but I would say channel those thoughts towards something more useful. As much as I like to play the poor soul who doesn’t get an invite, it’s probably for the best I don’t get one. I need to just play what I’m playing now and finish those games and when Dune launches I won’t have to be bummed about not getting a beta invite any more

Just in this thread I think there are 10 that are serious. I know I will be playing as my main game. I have a non OTG friend that is going to play as well. I think I may get him to join. I hope more will be interested.

Ya, I’m def gonna play. Was still hoping for a beta invite as well… but as @Ryuken mentioned maybe its for the best. Gonna pre-order as a bday gift to meself… also heard that the 2 higher tiered pre-orders will also include the first 4 dlc’s. Seems worth to me
On a side note, I was looking for a Dune discord channel, but ones not setup yet?

Well, didn’t expect them to extend the launch date, but I am fine with that if it means a better launch than their initial date in May. More time for me to play through games I am playing currently. And extended period of hope for a beta invite of some kind.

The first thing I thought about was @Ryuken and hope you can get an invite. Delays are delays and its not a big one. No need to rush it.
