Genevieve’s Aspects

Prime - Freedom from Obligation: An arranged marriage is the best Genevieve can hope for if she stays at home; adventuring is freedom!

The way I understand this is that she’s been sheltered and hidden away most of her life and her newfound freedom is intoxicating, yet she is also very naive about the rest of the world. I might call it something like “Freedom is exhilarating and new”

Heretic of the Blood: A royal blood princess who also has access to heretical magic in her blood. Oh the humanity!

does it make you do things? or is this just a matter of people finding out?

Touched by the Dragon: Algweorn and/or the Cult of the Dragon are looking for mortals who have to ties to dragonkind.

This works

Evil Stepmother’s Hatred: The new queen of Fake France has it in for her husband’s favoured firstborn and wants Genevieve out of the picture even though she can’t inherit the crown.

She’s the one who is out to get you, sounds good

I like it.

I guess I didn’t really think about the ramifications of this train of thought. If the former, then it’s almost like Wild magic, and if the latter, Genevieve becomes a sorcerer who doesn’t actually want to cast spells (well at least in public). Interesting. Do we want to open up either of those cans of worms?

As for the group thing. This is the first set of people she’s met outside of the closed circle of her upbringing. They:

  1. came to her defense aboard the ship
  2. appear to be adventurers

That’s good enough for her.

Met with a farmer named Shep Cobb. His family is in trouble because bandits stole five of their best pigs and without them the family won’t survive to the next harvest.

Staked out the pig sty, but the bandits did not return that night.

Followed the trail of the bandits and found a group of them. They did not have the pigs.

They told the party that their leader Jason had taken the pigs away because of the strange woman.

Tracked the pig’s trail to a ring of standing stones. Fought Jason and a dryad and were transported to the fairy world.

Stumbled on a group of fey getting ready for a party. Their leader, King Coleron, told them that they could have the pigs back if they went into the surrounding fairyland and gathered food to replace the pigs.

1/23/25

The party went out into the fairy realm to gather food. While gathering food, they had some pixies attempt to steal some of their food, but they were able to chase the fairies down and recover it. Later, they were ambushed by giant spiders and fought them off. When They were nearly done, some monkeys tried to steal the food they collected, but they dealt with them.

The Party gathered enough food to make up for them taking the pigs back. King Coleron rewarded them with magical elven clothing.

On the Way home, they were attacked by wolves who smelled the pigs and tried to eat them, but they managed to prevent that.

The farmer, Shep Cobb, was very glad to have his pigs back.

Cornelius Sudge hired them to clear a crypt for him.

The party convinced a priest at the temple of Sabazios to let them go through their archives. They found that the place they were sent to clear was sealed by the inquisition at the end of the Elvinal Empire.

The party began fighting though into the crypt, facing undead and ghostly haunts.

Following up on loose ends
For your Cult’s spells:
Cleric Spells 1st: Sure Strike 3rd: Haste 4th: Weapon Storm

That looks perfect.

2/6/25

The party fought to the deepest part of the crypt where they found a sarcophagus sealed with the mark of the inquisition.

Breaking open the seal, they were greeted by some sort of hellspawn, who thanked them for freeing her before disappearing. Inside, they recovered some silver shackles and a tome written in some sort of fiendish language.

Making their way back to the city, they were greeted by a talking raven who asked them to return the favor that his mistress had done for them. They were to find the woman Mary Cruthers and collect what was owed and deliver it to a woman in a red cloak at the Hart and Moon tavern. If they do so, their favor will be repaid.

Back in town, they confronted Cornelius Sudge. Quizzing him about what he expected to find in the crypt. He gave evasive answers, which roused their suspicion. They refused to give him the book they found and left without the remainder of their pay.

Searching for Mary Cruthers, they found her living in a room in a run-down part of town. They discovered that the payment she owed was her newborn baby. She had made a deal with the witch to save her son. Thinking quick, Zekiel quizzed her about the exact wording of her deal and found a loophole. She had demanded the next child born in the house, which was actually their baby goat. Armed with this, they took the goat to the woman in the red cloak, who was forced to concede that they had kept the deal.

Fearing reprisals from Cornelius Sudge, they decided to leave town and travel back to Riverport. On the way, Kotar was visited in his dreams by his mentor Michio, who told him to seek out a fellow member of their order named Targus, who had travelled to the Albion Isles many years ago.

The party then decided that there may be treasure buried in the elven ruins nearby and set out to explore them. Camping nearby, they were attacked by ghouls during the night.
