14.“I’m in my mid-40s, and I certainly miss the benefits of youth. Aches are creeping in, I can no longer eat anything I want, and healing time has slowed. But there is something very liberating about no longer caring what people think about you, doing things you want to do when you want to do them, having coffee alone outside at 6 a.m. while the world sleeps, cutting the grass in shorts and high socks, and enjoying quality time with friends. Youth is wasted on the young.”

Here is a good example of this. We were at brunch a couple Sundays ago. A gentleman probably in his 50s or 60s walks in, obviously a regular, and sits at the bar and they bring him his usual. He was wearing a straw hat, Woodstock (character) t-shirt, pajama pants, Crocs, and a robe. I was thinking, “Good on ya, mate!”

A funny youth-related thing…
My wife and I were watching the new Matlock (Kathy Bates is hilarious) and she is asking a witness how many commercial breaks were on the TV show he was watching between the events in question… then she has to explain to the two young associates with her (probably millennials) what a commercial break is. They looked very confused when she explained the concept of watching TV live.
