Anyone having problems with wowhead? it freezes / crashes my browser sometimes … both chrome and edge (don’t judge me) (lol).
Mine was doing that really badly. I installed an adblocker, and no problems ever since.

I’m using a secure VPN browser with ad blockers included and have not had any problems.
I also don’t have ads. No issues. Not sure if that’s your issue, but it’s looking suspicious!
ok. great. definitely looks like there’s a pattern here … I have proton mail and VPN, but have never used the VPN … I’m going to start. Doesn’t look like it has an AD blocker functionality … so maybe a need to add that as an extension? Anyone have any suggestions for CHROME?
Some VPNs seem to have ad blockers built in. Mine does, at least I’ve not seen ads since using mine. Make sure you research from a reliable source information about VPNs and see if you can get a Pro/Con listing between the top 10 or so for comparison. My VPN came with my Avast Free Antivirus software.
I have a paid sub to wowhead, which removes ads. In general I use AdBlockPlus.

I used to have a paid sub … I should go back to that … I installed “adblock” (free) and that seemed to work …
Matt, I was having the same problem everytime I went to wowhead. I read your post and intalled adblock plus and haven’t had the issue since.
