I would suggest temporarily borrowing a relative or a friend’s phone number for verification, considering their phone number hasn’t been already used for a Discord account.

The games I run and/or play in are usually 3 hours or so. So 8:00-11:00 Eastern?
They (Paizo) suggest scenarios take 3-4 hours. If it’s more than 3 (combat) encounters, it’ll probably be two sessions.

OK I am in at least for scenario 1 and would like to try the Envoy pregen. Not sure I can commit to another regular gaming night but want to try SF2…
I mean, I CAN with the understanding wife may murder me. 
Sept 9-11 I will be traveling to the Bay Area for my father and my own b-day party. Can we do character creation another day or another session for me?

The underlying rules of the game are all PF2, so GM Core and Player Core. Archives of Nethys has all of that. The very first link in the OP is to the Free Starfinder 2E playtest rules PDF that you can download for the Starfinder specific stuff: classes, ancestries, feats, etc.
So I’m back on Discord 'cause my mom’s phone is now associated with my account. Not exactly sure how that makes me anymore “verified” than before. But it apparently does.
