I would imagine its because a lot of men have color challenges or some form of color blindness. I know my son does, and I recall my ex did too.

OMG I can attest to this more than once in my state. Turned out to be lawn ornamentation for someone’s pond. I work for my states “game warden” dispatch office. We got a call for Mountain Lion stalking in tall grass once. Local Pd sent their swat team and it turned out to be a stuffed lion some kid left outside.

It is because every color needed is found in the original Crayola 8-pack.
They all go together in the box, so obviously all the colors go together in decor.
