My monitor bit the dust. I tried to replace the power cord. it still doesn’t get any power to the unit. I had a 24 inch monitor that I had to downgrade to this current 15 inch for a temp use, as it actually belongs to my wife’s work and they will want it back by the end of the month I’m sure. So I’m looking for suggestions for a new monitor. Something in the range of $300.00 or less. I prefer a 27 inch monitor. I’ll be upgrading to a Nvidia RTX 4080 Video card soon in Oct with a new PC. Most reviews I see are over the board for positives and negatives.
My wife and son have this (or a similar version) and love it.
I’ve used ASUS for some years now and have had great use from them current model is
ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ3A 27" Quad HD 180Hz FreeSync Premium IPS Gaming Monitor
27" ASUS TUF Gaming Monitor, HDR10, IPS, 2560x1440, 1ms, 180Hz, FreeSync Premium, 1000:1, 250cd/m², HDMI/DP
its not 4k but for gaming is pretty good you would want something like a 50 inch screen for 4k as the pixel size would be tiny on a 27 inch screen . 180Hz would be great for gaming and well within the 4080 capabilities without heating the house up heh
I have been very happy with my 2560x1440 Dell 32" monitor, very similar to:
I just got this :

Greatly enjoyed a Samsung C24FG70 at the $300 price point. They even did a hassle-free warranty replace when I had an issue with it. Is 24¨ though. The 27¨ is $100 more it appears.
Your local Walmart.
Samsung C27F396 (27" Curved) $150.
Samsung LC32R500FHNXZA (32" Curved) $199.
order to home from walmart.com
Samsung LS27AG552ENXZA (27" Curved) $279.
Samsung LF27G35TFWNXZA (27" Curved) $293.
I bought the top one many years ago when it was priced at like $270. It burnt out after at least 5 years and I bought another one. I liked that I could get a 27" monitor locally now and Walmart is extremely easy on their return policy if there was something that I didn’t like.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I went with a Dell Curved Gaming Monitor 27 Inch Curved with 165Hz Refresh Rate, QHD (2560 x 1440) Display, Black - S2722DGM. Everyone helped me out with the suggestions and I thank you all for it. it helped me to narrow down the things to look for with your suggestions. Thank you!
Ppl seem to love or hate the curved monitors. I like mine.
How is picture quality, brightness, and all that?
It was nice but I ended up sending it back and spending more for better monitor. the dell stopped working after 2 day. and I now have a BENQ monitor. It’s real nice in my opinion.
