Hang on, a “personal character instance.” That sounds like housing.
I can imagine it growing into player housing eventually. To me, it sounded more like a variant on your home instance. Maybe something like WoW’s garrison system (though hopefully much better and less of a game killer).
Of course, we can all make it mean whatever we want, considering the brevity of the teaser.
