It's Official. any advice?

I’m Officially a member, thank you to @Rosyposy for helping me get my feet wet, as well as everyone else who has made my feel welcome.

On a side note is there any advice (Tips and tricks if you will) for a new member that might have been left out in the orientation process?

Thanks to everyone, I’m looking forward to being part of the family.

Check out the forum for games you want to join, be sure to sign up for our discord because that’s where a lot of the conversation and planning happens, and just enjoy yourself in general! And… Welcome!

I see you already registered on Discord  That’s probably where currently the most activity is taking place.

A small tip I’d have is to mark everything as read, and then you can after a bit see channels that have actual activity, which might give a broad idea of what’s going on where.

And important to remember: We’re all old, we’re all disparate people, and generally games come and go in waves. The average OTGer can give lessons to a squirrel.

Squirrel? perk

This reminds me of the song “Squirrel School” by the old hair metal band Britny Fox.

Oh wait, the song was called “Girlschool”…nevermind

I’m feeling ur pain Tim. While I am very patient, I’m not computer literate and kinda have this feeling that I’m missing something. Time will tell  is there an invite code for Discord??

Hey Splutty, just remember…most of us didn’t get this old being in a hurry

Most of our Discord is members only. In order to access those areas, you’ll want to submit an application: https://forums.oldtimersguild.com/w/otg-application

Discord link: https://discord.gg/CjhuAKBP

Once the membership process is complete you’ll be able to register on discord and it will sync up your permissions from the forums.
