I plan on playing The Quinfall when it goes into early access on January 24th. I’m just curious if anyone else will play. I want to get a guild going and work together.
I want to say absolutely not, but if you’re willing to be our canary in the coal mine, please let us know how it is!
From everything I’ve read about the game and the company behind it, I’m almost certainly going to be avoiding this.
What have you heard? I am not sure about it either but I will give it a try.
I was following The Quinfall for awhile back when it showed up on Steam, but I think I even took it off my wishlist at this point. The Quinfall is supposed to be an MMO, but there has been very little in the way of beta testing open to the public. There is even doubts as to whether the beta tests were even real. Some that were able to get in the “beta tests” talked about very poor combat and an empty feeling world. There is talk that The Quinfall could be the next ‘The Day Before’ and if you are familiar with the controversy with The Day Before then you know what people are thinking about The Quinfall.
A couple things about the developer that is also the publisher. The development team/company/what have you, Vawraek Technology, ha never made a game of any kind before. Also, they got caught faking things like pictures of their offices in the past, so their level of authenticity is suspect.
The Early Access is supposed to start on January 24th, but if it costs any money at all I would be very hesitant. Even if it actually does release to Early Access later this month and even if it ever comes out of Early Access to be released as what is considered a full game, I have a hard time believing that it is gonna last.
In summary, The Quinfall feels like a case of buyer beware.
You convinced me to wait and see what happens.
