[Finished] PF2 - Big Troubles in Little Otari Extravaganza (Sundays, 8-11 EDT)

Good luck trying to climb a tree with that there Monk…or maybe it was just me :smirk:

It was your scaley half orc hands. You just never used enough moisturizer to keep it supple enough to grip things tightly.

Scales are rough and would help cling to trees better than smooth ass lotioned-up skin…just sayin’ :smirk:

I think both of y’all secretly want to play Pathfinder 2e

Hot Take: I swear @Ryuken posts more in this thread than in the Starfinder game thread 'cause he secretly hates SF as much as I do and super secretly loves PF2 as I pretend.

I did notice it was awfully quiet in the other thread when you gave the “prepare to ding 14th” notice!

You got me…I spend my Thursday nights secretly wishing you would invite me into the game I declined to join in the first place. I like to sit in Discord staring at the group of you in the voice channel imagining I’m there and making up all the dialogue while I voice it out loud and progressively worry my dogs…

OR NOT! :smirk:

I do miss the players…the game not so much. Besides…I’m considering making my Thursday night Starfinder beginner night to run Starfinder noobs through stuff to get ready to be probably the only Starfinder GM in the guild later this year.

So my druid idea was around using Herbalist and leshy familar secrets.

Which would not be fully online until lvl 6, but it would basically be my familiar sitting on my shoulder and handing out/feeding you guys elixirs of life (1d6+1 and +1 to saving throws against diseases and poisons for 10 min, goes up to 3d6+6 at lvl 6). I would just need to make sure I am within 15ft of you and it would use the familiar’s turn or two if I give him one of mine. No spell slot used and I get my lvl (or half my lvl if no natural ingredients are available) of those heals per day.

along with that I can make battle medicine checks with Nature skill and if I am out of elixirs my familar can hand out healing pots. After all that, then I would hit my spell slots and/or wands for in combat healing.

Out of combat my healing would be nature checks every 10 mins per one person. Unless @Rando would allow me to qualify for other medicine feats with my nature skill instead since the background swaps the two skills.

the only other build ideas that i have that would be entertaining for me to play and not just healbot would be in the front line.

Do we have too many in the front already?

I will be late on Sunday…maybe really late…I have made a human champion-paladin.

I understand! I don’t like being a heal bot either.

I am pondering whether to go with a class that has the occultism spell list, that way I could provide some extra healing via Soothe. I was reading about the Psychic Playtest earlier and it seems pretty cool. Not sure if playlets classes are available in FG though, @Rando ?

No.

Interesting game… does it have boob sliders?

There is! But it involves Photoshop or sumthin similar.

I use Procreate.

That is an amusing program name for the original question of does it have a Boob slider.

Mith

As one that has playtested a class my advice is…wait. :smirk:

I decided to change my character’s ancestry from Fetchling to Elf.

Meet Zanistra:

She is a Cavern Elf Universalist Wizard.

Here are a few important facts about her:

  • She was raised in an orphanage in Absalom. Nobody knows who were parents were but its obvious she’s not a typical elf!

  • She’s a self-taught wizard as nobody was willing to take her on as an apprentice back in Absalom.

  • She’s grown fond of humans over the years despite the threats and insults she sometimes receives from them. She’s developed a thick emotional skin as a result but insults from other elves still bother her.

  • She’s lived in Otari for the past few months and has become good friends of Morlibint the wizard and owner of Odd Stories. She loves books.

  • She’s a devout follower of Nethys as she credits her ability to learn magic despite not having a teacher to him.

  • She believes that magic is an end in itself but should be used for good when possible.

We’ve got Lost Omens: The Mwangi Expanse and (finally) Secrets of Magic added to the list of available sources.

So like I was saying the Starfinder thread…

They (Paizo) are soon to be releasing a hardcover version of Abomination Vaults that contains all three soft-bound modules (which we are using) in one volume. They are essentially printing it as is with a few minor exceptions of things that didn’t “work” the first time. Like Ron Lundeen said,

We’re tweaking some encounters that have proven a bit problematic, but beyond “give a certain soulbound doll the phantom pain spell rather than vampiric touch,” there’s not a lot of dramatic changes.

So I went ahead and updated said “certain soulbound doll” and yeah Vampiric Touch is sick and would have resulted in my murderizing someone, but Phantom Pain is equally bad in the muderizing category.

I’ve gone ahead and updated a few of the encounters to be scaled for a five person party, but it’s odd scaling most them that only have 1 or 2 bad guys so I didn’t touch (most) of those. You’ll find most of level one of the dungeon easier now with a five person party.
