I invested in the Draw Steel PDFs and if there’s interest I’ll pull the trigger on the Foundry modules as well.

What is Draw Steel? Matt Colville’s love letter to 4E (D&D).

Not sure what adventure I’d run though…

Depending on day and time I would be willing to be a Guinea pig player for it. I never really played 4E so no idea what to expect.

Watched the video and love the premise! Also, anything 4th edition adjacent sounds great. I am available any day but Thursday Friday and Sunday.

If there is room for one more I would be interested. I like the fact that you will always be able to get hit and will always hit in some way. Also, the limited rest time and more fights is right up my alley. I did not play too much 4E so hope that does not matter much. I would be able to play on either Monday or Tuesday evenings around 8PM EST.

Okay, I’ll put up a “real” post in 3-4 weeks or so. I haven’t decided what I’m running, but I’m feeling like homebrew ‘cause I’m kinda sick of pre-made stories I hate so much that I can’t even “fix” them.

Any suggestions?

  • evil empire takes over the heroes’ kingdom; plucky group joins the rebellion
  • agents of the church are tasked with escorting a holy relic to the far away mountain shrine
  • street urchins, scoundrels, and thieves work to bring down the corrupt government of the new king after the old one - who was a champion of the people - dies
  • the oceans rise and swallow the world leaving many tiny islands dotting the vast expanse of water; a group of survivors on their tiny craft try to find the legendary lost continent where they can settle and start anew
  • a new magical drug is sweeping through the hero’s village and eventually the big city and even the kingdom; only the heroes learn who is eventually responsible and put a stop to their nefarious plot
