I invested in the Draw Steel PDFs and if there’s interest I’ll pull the trigger on the Foundry modules as well.
What is Draw Steel? Matt Colville’s love letter to 4E (D&D).
Not sure what adventure I’d run though…

Depending on day and time I would be willing to be a Guinea pig player for it. I never really played 4E so no idea what to expect.

Watched the video and love the premise! Also, anything 4th edition adjacent sounds great. I am available any day but Thursday Friday and Sunday.
Depending on the day/time I would be interested in trying it out
Consider me interested! Running that one-shot was fun and got ideas for characters to play already!
That’s four, guess I’m goin shoppin.
If there is room for one more I would be interested. I like the fact that you will always be able to get hit and will always hit in some way. Also, the limited rest time and more fights is right up my alley. I did not play too much 4E so hope that does not matter much. I would be able to play on either Monday or Tuesday evenings around 8PM EST.
Yeah I was thinkin Tuesday.
This thread should be reported to the Admins immediately!
It must be breaking some sort of rules…
Well Tuesday I can’t do, I’m pretty much limited to Fridays and Saturdays. So feel free to grab Fenwald if he can
Mith
I’ll watch for when you spool up. I can’t dedicate time to play, but I’d like to watch from time to time.
Is there anyone else who can’t do Tuesday night? 8ish Eastern?
I can’t do Tuesday Night!
Tuesday is fine with me
Okay, I’ll put up a “real” post in 3-4 weeks or so. I haven’t decided what I’m running, but I’m feeling like homebrew ‘cause I’m kinda sick of pre-made stories I hate so much that I can’t even “fix” them.
Any suggestions?
[Edit] Apparently this post has been sitting in edit mode for 8 hours.
Before I get the official thread up…
We’ll do a session zero and stuff for character creation, party comp, story discussion, etc.
Y’all can find info on the game rules and stuff at Steel Compendium, and of course y’all could - but don’t need to - throw some money at the (pricey) official PDFs or Books+PDFs at MCDM Productions.
As per usual, no cost to play in Foundry for players; just your Chrome-based browser of choice (with hardware acceleration turned on.)
Sounds interesting, I would up or down for this (depending on your preference) if there ends up being room. Is there somewhere to look at even general info on it regarding classes, races and kits? Looked around on the net and didn’t see anything that provided more info.
The whip combat kit looks kinda neat.
The Steel Compendium Rando linked above is pretty much the Heroes and Monsters handbooks, without pictures.
Outside that, there’s a few YouTube channels that cover Draw Steel. Mostly reviews and Actual Plays from what I tend to see, but I know https://youtube.com/@crispysacademydndadvice?si=BEWqJpjbIk6vetbQ has some summary videos about the rules, classes, ancestries, etc.
There is also https://forgesteel.net/ that contains tools including a hero creator.
Kits are a pretty neat concept. No fussing with finding or crafting the right +1 weapon and just a respite to swap out your chosen kit.
Thanks, the Forgesteel link with the hero builder tool gave me a good look at the races and classes and such. Yeah @Rando I am definitely interested in playing this if there is room in the group.
