Intrepid Studios is making their stand alone Battle Royale test client available for everyone to join for free. Players can earn item skins that can be used in the Apocalypse client as wall as the final Ashes of Creation game. They are also making a $10 package available to gain additional item skins that will be kept for the final game - so part open public testing and part more fundrasing. Buying the $10 package is not necessary to play the open beta client.

For those not familiar with AoC yet or not current on development. AoC:Apocalypse is not the final MMORPG product - it is a battle royale arena test client used to test server code, game systems, and other features outside of the open world mmorpg environment.
