My understanding is that phase 1 starts October 25, 2024 and will be a weekend only thing. Phase 2 starts Dec. 20th and will be up 5 days/week. During phase 1, does OTG plan on forming up, or waiting until a more active phase?
I’ll be in the Alpha 2 test and would love to team up with fellow members. I’ll be in Discord on the days I’m in-game.
Alpha Two Access - Important Dates
Depending on when and how you gained access to Alpha Two, you will join us at various time frames.
- October 25, 2024 - For players who attained Alpha Two access via a giveaway, or Kickstarter Pack, Kickstarter Addon, Pre-order Pack, and Pre-order Addon.
- November 8, 2024 - If you purchased a First Wave Bundle.
- December 20, 2024 - If you purchased a Second Wave Bundle.
- May 1, 2025 - If you purchased a Third Wave Bundle.

I got an Alpha 2 stress test invite yesterday by email. Says it starts today at 10am Pacific time.
Appears to be a limited number of invites, maybe they are slowly adding more people to the test. No invite for me yet.

I haven’t gotten an email yet. And I am keeping an eye on my junk folder just in case. I think they are going out in spurts. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think access to the Alpha is until the 25th regardless of when we get the email.
No clue, but I’m not going to worry too much about it. Alpha testing in these games is usually not all that special. There is so much not working, or needs work, or simply is a placeholder for something in the future that it’s frustrating most of the time. I’m not going to stress if I somehow don’t get the invite at all.
Now the Beta is where the fun starts…

cool, got my invite, i finally get to log into this game after all this time waiting since kickstarter. I am looking forward to testing.
Eight years in the waiting and phase 2 starts when I’m out of state for a week for a funeral.
I got back in time to take a glimpse but I was in no condition to focus after a nine hour drive.

Is OTG as a guild going to be active in AOC? I know many are participating in the alpha but I haven’t heard any updates in regards to OTG. Are there officers in place, a guild leader?
I think the plan is to just mess around for phase 1 since it’s only 3 days a week and a lot of members don’t get in until the 8th. Come phase 2 when servers will be up for 5 days is when we’ll try to take it more seriously.
I know I’ve barely been able to play so far. I work Fridays and Saturdays, so I haven’t had much time.
I haven’t had much play time either. I have a level 3 mage LOL.
I might give it a shot on the 20th. I could have played earlier I guess but was put off by the pvp element but reading up lately it might not be that bad (he says hopefully)…doesn’t hurt to have a look since I put my money down in 2017. Oi! Where does the time go?
Well, it’s interesting. I have a lvl 2 ranger since the summoner isn’t available yet and I’m running around like an idiot trying to figure things out. A lot of people already have horses (except me). I can’t figure out how I’m supposed to chop a tree down for a quest when I don’t have an axe. All the guards seem to be in the Christmas spirit or maybe santa hats are the fashion for this kingdom. The npcs keep talking to me even when I walk away so they must think I’m a good listener. I guess it ain’t all bad

Rance, all of your issues stem from missing the “Intro to crafting” quest in Lionshold. If you remember where the Vendor is there, go to the next big building south of there and the Crafting quest giver is there. DO that quest line, all of the things you need are inside Lions hold.
At the end of it, you will have a full set of harvesting tools AND a horse.
