This is essentially the “Streaming Wars”, but with Video games, everyone has been scrambling to come up with their own digital games distribution platform to take a bit of control over their own revenue, and some of em’ aren’t doing so well.
Case-in-point, “Epic Games”, they are becoming a text-book example of how not to run a digital games distribution platform.
This is all i can realistically contribute to this discussion, i will likely never cross paths with places like the Epic Games store; as i have no desire to dip my toes into that hot mess, but just at a glance, it looks like… well- a hot mess.
