From the research I have done, the US SF (US Space Force) is proposed to be derived from the US Air Force. IE: Air being closer to space than the Navy.

At least we are getting a dialog going. Somehow, not organizing seems to be a shame. We have time to discuss issues before we need to have things ready for release day. We can always edit and modify things with nothing being cast into stone until we establish our chapterās Charter. Now is the time to prepare and get organized.
Good point, I believe NASA was originally part of the Air Force and the shuttle pilots were Air Force.
The flip side being currently our manned missions havenāt gone father than our moon. Once we start taking ships out of the solar system, well then we will be navigating ships on voyages and its the navy that is experienced at navigating by the stars. 
We have plenty of time.
But to be clear, I am not against having the discussion about where we might want to be when the game reaches Beta or Release.
I simply did not want to bring that discussion into this post. They are 2 separate discussions and should remain so for now.
