Only read of one unconfirmed report of bricking. I can confirm from first hand experience that the game has indeed shut my console off twice requiring a systems hard drive check. But I have had this with other games and during power outages. It gives the message that the system was not shut down properly. It rebooted manually and has been fine.

For what it’s worth BioWare statement
