Anyone looking at playing ArcheAge unchained? Just heard about it full newest patch version of the game and COMPLETELY NOT PAY TO WIN. They totally took every single P2W aspect of the game completely out. Sounds really interesting. I enjoyed the game itself but couldn’t handle the extreme P2W and never progressed far at “endgame” when I played casually years ago.
I’m new to OTG as a whole - playing FFXIV right now just curious if there will be an OTG chapter for this new version of the game.
Comes out Sept 30th!

Me, my wife, and a couple other friends and family members pre-ordered. We played the original AA when it launched and did not have the best experience. Hopefully this time around will be better with land and all that.

I’m going to give it a shot, looks interesting. I played quite a bit at original launch too…but the PTW eventually made me lose interest. Anyone have any thoughts of what faction to play?

I’m looking forward to the B2P aspect, I played GW2 for a long while and loved the absence of any real P2W issue(Gem Exchange/Gold Was farrrr beyond reasonable IMO) , which was the main issue i had with AA. hoping it’ll truly be worth it, will be pre-ordering it soon.

Would be cool if everyone from OTG who wants to play Unchained could agree on a server and faction. I only played Nuian side at launch but I’m open to playing either faction. If we didn’t have an officer or chapter lead playing to start a clan ingame at the very least we could try and group up, have a couple families in game for the benefits and maybe all join the same clan IF there wouldn’t be an OTG clan made.
I’m fairly casual myself so I can’t commit to a ton of playing time but I plan on playing a spell singer (most likely) day 1 and migrating to a healer/support role at 55.

Some of us are going to play AAU, Wynn West. All are welcome to join us. Not official OTG, just some of us making a guild. If you are in discord I will send u a link to our discord group. Let me know if you would like to join us.
PTS came up if you want to test it update PTS on the accont that you purchased AAU on. Then once you get to server select, AAU is PTS 2

I am ok with giving it a try … since WoW Classic has really not grabbed me.
But its gonna be a bust for me if people don’t group or use voice chat. Its the social aspect that makes games great for me.

Well my interest is piqued as they say and I pre-ordered a pack. Poking around on the PTS2 reminded me of so many things I liked about ArcheAge in the first place.
There’s an armor line that’s pretty damn good that won’t blow up from upgrade attempts now. The P2W is supposedly out the door though I still wonder about the Labor system (there were never enough labor points as a Patron)
I have never found another MMO that had such a great naval system. I dearly miss my ships but I’m not sure if I want to play enough to rebuild that fleet again. _sigh_
So which group has how many players? Boop on the West, EvilPeppard on the East? I want to tie in with the largest group. 😉
